Bride-Zilla Common Cure

We've all heard the term "Bride-zilla". I am sure and some of us have even probably tuned into the similar television show to see the beast in action.

There are many ways to easily cure the common Bride-zilla, the easiest being to give her knowledge. It's power people!

Enter the new website coming down the aisle: Weddzilla! Weddzilla is a wonderous resource for today's hip, yet busy betrothed couple. How does the site differentiate itself from the zillions of 'Zilla (and Non-'Zillas alike) friendly sites out there? Glad you asked! It incorporates similar site's features such as vendor directories and inspirational ideas however makes them interactive just like a social networking type of site. This site is for the tech savvy couple looking to interact with vendors and other couples in an instantly gratifying environment.

I know you're excited but don't get ahead of the trend just yet. The site is still to be launched but head on over today to enter your e-mailing address to keep abreast of the happenings.

Want to get your Weddzilla fix now and also attend a fabulous party? They are hosting a "Rock the Launch" event in DC. Head over HERE for details and to RSVP.

One last tid-bit: they have chosen yours truly as one of their featured Vendor Bloggers! Check out the blog as well for tips, tricks, and treats direct from the wedding pros themselves!

Cheers,

In her post today, you'll see my personal wedding in a box revealed. Hop on over to A Foxy Wedding to check it out!

Ever Mine, Ever Thine, Evernote?

About a month ago, just when I thought I would lose my sanity from the inability to easily and electronically organize all of my "stuff", I stumbled across the answer to my prayers: EverNote.

As I started to use it, I said to myself, "Self, this would be an excellent tool for my couples to use"! Well, now that I feel comfortable enough using it myself, I figured I am now well equipped to forward along my knowledge to the masses : )

If your wedding planning binders have started to look like this: read on.

So, what is this Evernote all about? It has been compared to your trusty Trapper Keeper that we all had in elementary school (and in my case into junior high). It's a catch all for your organizational needs: your calendar, your notebook, your folders, your homework that you miraculously wrestled away from your dog. ONLY BETTER. Why? Imagine being able to access that Trapper Keeper from anywhere just by accessing the internet!

Here's some of the nitty gritty on it's inner workings. Visit evernote.com and download the application to any computer that you regularly use. The one at home, the one at work, and even on your mobile device. Then use the webclipping tool to add anything that catches your attention. How to: highlight text or click on a picture. Right click your mouse. Instead of clicking copy and then pasting into something else, right click and select "add to evernote" and viola, it's added to your own account hosted on their database. Then that same info is available by logging onto the site from any computer with internet access anywhere. Even on a mobile device. And with their additional organization tools, you can create your own tags to sort your saves or have the technology do it for you.

How can this benefit your wedding planning? So glad you asked. Well, let's say that you find this stellar idea for a place card table on a wedding blog. You want to catalog it for later and also want to share it with your Mom or your wedding planner and then compare it to your twenty other place card ideas that you have saved. With Evernote, you can create an account just for your wedding planner purposes and do just that. Share the account log-in with anyone you like and everyone is able to view it in real time without the hassle of copying, pasting, sending an email, etc etc. The best part, it might just allow you to comfortably ditch the three ring binder or bulky wedding binder, because you'll have all your fab ideas and inspiration in one tidy, full access, green, and technologically advanced place!

I know that I am IN LOVE with this tool and think it just might revolutionize the way that I organize my life. How have you found it to be useful?
